Cider pork & bacon pie with cauliflower and potato mash


This is a good, everyday pie, using pork mince, which is slightly less expensive than lamb or beef. Gluten-free: use gluten-free plain flour in the sauce.

  • 5 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 2 cm chunks
  • 1 small cauliflower, cut into small pieces
  • ¾ mug grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp wholegrain mustard
Filling
  • 150 g streaky bacon
  • 1 onion
  • 500 g pork mince
  • 2 leeks, sliced
  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 mug cider
  • 1 veg stock cube
