Penne boscaiola


'Boscaiola' is Italian for 'woodcutter' or 'lumberjack'. He would typically gather the mushrooms from the woods. This is a classic Italian dish which contains mushrooms, bacon and a creamy pasta. Gluten-free: use gluten-free pasta.

  • 200 g streaky bacon, cut into 2 cm strips
  • 6 spring onions, chopped
  • 250 g chestnut mushrooms, sliced

  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped basil
